London Temple

We visited the London Temple today. We rented a car and drove down Friday and stayed in the temple accommodations, which were quite nice! We met some friends of ours there and watched their kids Friday evening so they could go to an endowment session and then we switched and went to a session in the morning.

Even just being on the Temple grounds brought a feeling of peace and contentment to my heart. Being able to go in and review the covenants I made with God was even more wonderful.

I am so grateful for the Temples that dot the earth! I know that they are a place of peace, where families are sealed for eternity, from generation to generation. I know that it God's house. I was so grateful that we were able to spend some time there this weekend!

Even though the trip wasn't ideal (Henry vomited twice on the way down from Cambridge, we didn't sleep hardly at all last night, and it was a bit cold this morning), none of that could outweigh the joy I felt serving in the House of the Lord.

And for those of you who are curious, this is what our room looked like at the Temple Guest House:
