Mom and Dad said I need a passport to go to England. Seems kind of strange to me, since it doesn't expire for 10 years. So when I'm 5 years old and traveling back to Europe (because Mom says we're going to do that) my passport will have a picture of me at 3 1/2 months.
The government is kind of strange sometimes.
Since we have to get my passport processing soon, Mom and Dad insisted that I get my picture taken for it today. Of course they chose nap time to get that done. Everyone knows that being tired makes a person grumpy; what were they thinking?! They sat me down in my bouncy chair with a white pillowcase behind my head and tried to get me to smile. Of course I don't want to smile! I'm exhausted, I'm teething, and all I want to do is snuggle up in my blanket and sleep in Mom's arms.
I let them know of my displeasure through a rather impressive wail (if I say so myself) and scrunching up my face so they couldn't see my eyes. But then Mom made this amazing noise and I couldn't help myself; I calmed down and looked at the camera. I guess they got a good picture in the end.
Mom and Dad are taking me to the County Court House this afternoon to submit all the paperwork for my passport. Hope it goes better than their idea of a photo shoot...
