Five Years

As of today, Derek and I have been married five years. Wow--time really does fly. We've had so many adventures together and learned so much. We've had our ups and downs and even a few sideways. I've been amazed, though, at how all of these things have just brought us closer together. Just last night (er, this morning) we were up laughing and playing solitaire, just as we did when we were dating. At then in the next minute, we're talking about our son and how we can't imagine life without him.

I generally get quite mushy, but I'll keep this simple: my life has improved 100 fold since I met Derek, and even more when we got married. I'm so incredibly lucky to be married to my best friend, the one I want to be there for everything. I feel an incredible amount of gratitude for all Derek has done to support and encourage me. And even more grateful that we have kept our covenants and we're on the road achieving our goal of a life together in the Celestial Kingdom. I wouldn't want to have anyone else on my side as I go through this life and the life to come.

I put together a video of photos of us from the past 5 years. WOW! We've been all over the place and enjoyed so many adventures. Here's to adventuring for the rest of forever!
