In the Leafy Tree Tops

The Cambridge University Botanic Gardens are located just down the street from us. The walk takes less than five minutes and we are at the main gate. With it being so close, and so beautiful, we've decided we want to visit often. Derek gets in free as a member of university and I became a "Friend of the Botanic Gardens" yesterday, complete with a year long pass.

Right now, the gardens are alive with autumn. Many of the trees are breathtakingly beautiful, bright red and yellow, and the leaves have started collecting on the ground. We took Henry in twice this week to show him what autumn really looks like. As you can see, he loved it.

October 24--Discovering the leaves with Daddy was a highlight. He was so excited to touch them!

We were there right at nap time, so Henry got a bottle. Henry likes to put his arms up on the bottle and just relax as he eats--he has very little interest in holding the bottle himself, though he can.

October 26--Henry loved playing in the leaves. These are some of my favorite pictures of him.

I love the picture in the bottom right--Henry has always been a little "researcher." He examines every detail of things.

p.s. experimenting with photo collages--I thought it might be nice instead of a huge long post of photos that I wanted to share. :) What do you think? Like it this way? or a long stream of photos (oh and grandparents--if you want any of these, let me know and I'll email them to you. The collage or the individual photos!)
